Sorry

Sorry...
Das Buch heisst: "The Truth About CHUCK NORRIS
400 facts about the world's greatest Human"

... 2 mal. Denken sie mal drüber nach!

Color Up The Sixties!

Normally buying the German Vogue ends in kind of a disaster and disappointment for me. This time not!
Those pictures are scanned from the October 2010 issue of German Vogue. The editorial is called "Color up!" and is kept (as they say) in the style of the sixties. Actually, just the shape and some colours of most of the clothes are sixties' style. I would more describe it as a mix of 60s and 70s, because of the hair and the flared pants.
Nevertheless I love this editorial, because it brings some (at least for me) long needed colour and is a good contrast to the grey sky outside.

Vielen Dank, deutsches Vogueteam!

What I Have Been Up To...

One of those things was changing my room. After I came back it felt like my room didn't really fit me anymore, so I moved a few things, sorted some out and changed an old kitchen table into my new desk. I'll just need to print some pictures, find a tailor's dummy with my measurements and try to have less things. There are way too much things in my room and hopefully I will get rid of them through a jumble sale.
What else I did will follow soon...

Gerold Decock At His Place In New York City

Found via theselby.

Since we probably need to move soon, I am dreaming of getting a new room and searching for inspiration.
theselby.com is really a great page for that.

Everyone Wants A Piece Of The Electrocake

http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/51511879/Rihanna+Only+Girl+In+The+World.png
In this case it's the trancecake...
Just that's the song is good and the video is amazing!
It's got everything: best 90's trance feeling (really reminds me of "Blümchen"), retro chic(the styling is perfect), the psychedelic umbrage (the background and the end) and she is singing about what probably every girl wishes (or at least me).
It feels like the perfect song for a desert trance party.

Unfortunately I can't find the video to embed it, so here's the link to the video on the German mtv site

My sister is one of a kind!
The other day she told me about a lot of stylish-looking people she sees on her way to university. They have one thing in common, which is their college jacket.
In Hamburg we also saw people wearing them everywhere in every possible style. Of course, she started to want one and of course all the ones in the shops were really expensive.
Because of that I will browse through the Internet to find an affordable one and I will present my results here.
So, the first hint I got was from the "Glamour" (10/10). They wrote about it as a new trend and they pointed out two sources: First vintage shops (I didn't find cheap jackets there, did you?) and second the site thejacketshop.com. Some minutes ago, I visited it and discovered that they have nice jackets in green, but those are still quite pricey. Here are the results:
The first and second version with white and yellow sleeves are about 169€, probably because the sleeves are made from cow leather. But you can let them sew one or two letters on it in one or two colours, if you pay a little extra charge.
The third version without leather is about 149€. Still too expensive, in my opinion.
There were just two options left in my search: Win one for her on the same site or keep on searching. The winning option sounded good, but could take a little while. You would need to design your one jacket in thejacketshop.com and with a little bit luck you could win that one at the end of the month.
I thought it's too risky and would take too long, so I looked at the next hint, which came from my brother Cain. He told me that you could get one on the "K.I.Z."-Homepage (German rappers) with your own city sewn on it.
This is the jacket, which costs about 100€, but it doesn't come in green and I don't know if my sister likes "K.I.Z." that much... So the search went on:
The next thing I did, was to google "college jacke grün" in the German "Google" and to hope for the best.
What I found was this jacket, which costs about 39,90€. It doesn't come with leather sleeves, but I think it's perfect for this price. What do you think? You could buy it here.
So all I am doing now is sending my sister a link to this post and hoping it will make her happy.
If you have any other suggestions, please comment, I am happy to get more hints!

New Urban Outfitters Store In Berlin Planned For Autumn 2011

Geblümtes Kleid mit NetzstoffeinsatzJohann Earl – Durchsichtiges Kleid mit SpitzeneinsatzJohann Earl – Kleid mit SpitzeneinsatzRenewal – Farbenfrohes Babydoll-Kleid mit Blumenmuster

As I was visiting friends in Hamburg I couldn't help but visit Urban Outfitters at the Gänsemarkt. At the cash point the cashier told me, that there will be opened a new store in Berlin in autumn next year!!!
How great is this?
Let them just make it a little less pricey and it will be clothes heaven!

Sunny Sunday In Friedrichshain

Due to our inner urge to sell a whole bunch of things on a jumble sale, Mary and me (and my brother and father) went to the jumble sale near to the cassiopeia (Revaler Straße 99, 10245 Berlin-Friedrichshain). It's a quite small one, but the people look more alternative and "real" than at the Mauerpark or Boxhagener Platz. I felt really comfortable being there and the "seller" were also nice.

After some scoops of delicious, organic and vegan icecream, we went to the jumble sale at the Boxhagener Platz to see, if this could be a possible selling place.

In the end we decided against selling things on both places, but we had a nice day and we saw a lot.

The pictures were taken on the way home, actually at my street, which feels totally different than one year before.
