Vanity Fair

So this is it, it's Fashionweektime again. Last thing I read was that it's London's turn now.
Two days ago, I had a conversation with my boyfriend about collections and fashionweeks.
He (and I also) thinks that it is weird that there is this regular cycle of fashionweeks. He says (or this is what I remember) that he has the feeling that designer are not designing anymore because they have the urge to do it, but that they do it, because they have to. Because there is fashionweek and they have to show something. Do you also have this feeling?
Hence because of this there are so many collections, who are similar to other collections or are evocative of other decades and this is quite sad, isn't it?
I would also go further and say that fashion like this is not art but just business.
What is your opinion?

Was meint ihr dazu?
