Cry Baby

Today I'll give you a video overload. I don't remember if I already recommended this movie to you, even if I did it won't hurt to do it a second time.

The movie I am talking about is called "Cry Baby" directed in 1990 by John Waters. I don't want to spoil the story by telling you about it. So just watch the trailer and go watching it. It's hilarious, because it's a satire on 50s movies and musicals.

Dancing Through The History Fashion

For the opening of the biggest shopping mall inside a city in europe, which was opened this year, in East London, this commercial has been created. It shows sequential a pair of dancers, who are wearing, while dancing to different kind of music from the changing decades, varying clothes from 100 years of fashion during 100 seconds.

In my opinion, this is an interesting and creative idea and has been carried out well.

Actually, I don't know why I like to look at those small films, which are just made to promote the seasons` collections. 

Somehow they are art, but on the other side not. That's why I like to look at them, but not to watch them. There is always a little voice in my head telling me, that those films are weird, because they want to be artistic, but they are commercial so most of the time they feel strongly artificial to me. 

This one feels (not much but) a bit different. The idea of teleporting is not a new one and I don't know how it makes sense that you change your clothes while doing it, but in a weird way it is interesting. Besides you can see the (already styled) clothes very good and you also have some time to take them in, which those films should be all about, shouldn't they? 

That's my last point of critic: A lot of films won't show the clothes right, so you can't really look at them or you just see a tiny fraction of them or the whole collection. 

All in all it won't hurt watching them, but sometimes it feels like a real waste of time. 

Nevertheless have a look at that genre of films yourself, enjoy them and write me your opinion, I am really interested in other thoughts.

Susie Bubble Is Monkiing Around On Monki.tv

As you all now Monki launched monki.tv this month and started with Susie Bubble from Stylebubble. This is the third part of the segment about and with her and I think it's the most interesting so far, as you can have a look at her wardrobe. It's absolutely stunning how many clothes she has, how she organizes them and that she puts her tops in file cupboards, because they are the only ones, which can bear the weight. 

I love her style, her bubbly personality and that she is taking fashion serious, but that on the other hand she can speak about herself and fashion and inside the fashion world ironicly. Her blog was the first blog I was reading and she is inspiring me in so many ways, I can't describe.

Mango's Not Orange But Brown

As I first went to Mango to have a look at their AW10/11 collection, I didn't really like it. Seeing this video with Hanneli Mustaparta and Gala Gonzalez totally changed my mind. 

Brown is still a delicate colour for me, because I think I can't handle it, but in this collection it's been chosen greatly. Besides I can't stop thinking about the sunglasses.

Who is going to Mango today?

Als ich das erste Mal die AW10/11 Kollektion von "Mango" gesehen habe, mochte ich sie nicht. Nachdem ich aber das Video sah, bin ich ganz anderer Meinung.

Auch wenn braun für mich immer noch eine heikle Farbe ist, weil ich nicht so gut mit ihr umgehen kann, denke ich trotzdem, dass es in der Kollektion toll verwendet wurde. 

Außderdem kann ich nicht mehr aufhören an die Sonnenbrille zu denken. Wer wird wohl heute noch zu "Mango" gehen?

Everyone Wants A Piece Of The Electrocake

 

In this case it's the trancecake...

Just that's the song is good and the video is amazing!

It's got everything: best 90's trance feeling (really reminds me of "Blümchen"), retro chic(the styling is perfect), the psychedelic umbrage (the background and the end) and she is singing about what probably every girl wishes (or at least me).
It feels like the perfect song for a desert trance party.

Unfortunately I can't find the video to embed it, so here's the link to the video on the German mtv site. 

In diesem Fall ist es wohl eher der Trancekuchen...

Aber trotzdem: Das Lied ist wirklich gut und das Video finde ich auch toll! 

Irgendwie findet man alles: Das beste 90er Gefühl(das mich sehr an "Blümchen" erinnert), Retroschick(das Styling ist perfekt), der psychodelische Hauch (der Hintergrund und das Ende) und sie singt über etwas, das sich wohl jedes Mädchen wünscht(oder zumindest ich).
Fühlt sich an wie das perfekte Lied für eine Wüstentranceparty.

Maybe you all know him already, but I simply love his video, so check out: Ely Kim with his Video "Boombox"!
He has danced to 100 different songs in 100 different locations and 100 different outfits and has uploaded it on vimeo.com, the "better" youtube. You simply can't watch it without becoming happy or starting to smile. I am happy at the latest from song 26.
What else is there to say? Oh, he has a great style and is a good dancer, I think. I really love it, when people dance with their whole body!
