Blog Reference: One Portrait A Day

For a while I've been reading this blog called "One portrait a day". It's made by a photographer called Jørn Tomter, who is originally from Norwegia, has been living in Berlin for a while and moved back to London some time ago. He has set himself three simple rules for his blog:

"1) I have to photograph a person I never before have met
2) I have to photograph and post the same day
3) I always ask before I shoot"

He says about himself, that he has a passion for photographing people. He loves looking at photos of strangers shot on location and writes that by time each photograph gets even more interesting. The camera is his key to access strangers' houses, go to interesting places and tell stories.

It's interesting how much you can achieve with three simple rules and a camera. In each post he shares one picture and a little story about the person or the cirumstances of how the picture has been taken. 

For me it feels like he opens up the world a bit by showing normal every day people and their stories.

Especially the picture I have chosen to show you from his blog is so interesting and kind of different to what you can see on normal street style blogs. She wears an outfit I would love to sport, but somehow it feels that it wouldn't fit me, because my body is not as curvy as hers. Nevertheless she looks so great!

Susie Bubble Is Monkiing Around On Monki.tv

As you all now Monki launched monki.tv this month and started with Susie Bubble from Stylebubble. This is the third part of the segment about and with her and I think it's the most interesting so far, as you can have a look at her wardrobe. It's absolutely stunning how many clothes she has, how she organizes them and that she puts her tops in file cupboards, because they are the only ones, which can bear the weight. 

I love her style, her bubbly personality and that she is taking fashion serious, but that on the other hand she can speak about herself and fashion and inside the fashion world ironicly. Her blog was the first blog I was reading and she is inspiring me in so many ways, I can't describe.

Meet The Tattoologist!

Since a good girlfriend of mine got a ahorn leave tatooed on her foot, because she was six month in canada, since another girlfriend, who was in canada, told me about a canadian girl, who tatooed "notes" on her arm, because she was always writing notes on her arm in school. Since in Israel every one seemed to have a tatoo, even the innocent mothers, since I always dreamt about having stars tatooed all over my back, since I saw this one picture, which consisted of a red bow tatooed on the neck, which was only visible when wearing the hair high, I fell for tatoos. 

Now, via Bloglovin, I discovered the blog "Tattoologist" and I am amazed. I don't know nothing about the person behind the blog, except that she/he is going to bring out a book soon, which I am awaiting to buy. This blog is really inspiring! You have to take a look at it!

Seit sich eine gute Freundin von mir, die sechs Monate in Kanada war, ein Ahornblatt auf den Fuß tätoowieren ließ, seit mir eine andere gute Freundin, die auch in Kanada war, über eine Schulfreundin berichtete, die sich das Wort "notes" auf ihren Unterarm tätoowieren ließ, weil sie sich dort immer Schulnotizen drauf machte. Seit es in Israel so aussah als hätte wirklich jeder Israeli ein Tatoo (sogar brav aussehenden Mütter), seit ich immer davon träumte mir Sterne quer über den Rücken stechen zu lassen, seit ich ein Bild gesehen habe, auf dem ein Mädchen sich eine rote Schleife in den Nacken hat machen lassen und die man nur sah, wenn sie ihre Haare hoch trug, bin freue ich mich über Tatoos.

Jetzt habe ich den Blog "Tattoologist" durch Bloglovin entdeckt und freue mich über all die tollen Tatoos und Möglichkeiten. Ich weiß nichts über die Person, die hinter dem Blog steht, außer dass sie/er ein Buch herausbringen wird, auf das ich warten werde. Dieser Blog ist wirklich inspirierend! Ihr müsst ihn euch anschauen!

The Black Dress

While searching something I found this blog "The Black Dress". 

It's this girl, who is wearing black dresses, specially created from designers, differently everyday by layering different pieces under/over it or pairing accessories with it for one year. All these items are from handmade artists. The artists donate/lend these items for the project. If the artist chooses to donate the item to the project then after it is used it will be posted for sale in the online shop, so that reader can buy it. Besides all the proceeds from the shop go toward Noah’s Ark Orphan Care Center.

This is what she is writing about it:

Ein Herzallerliebstest Maedchen

Not long ago this girl wrote me an E-mail and I visited her blog. She just started her blog "meine herzallerliebsten..." (in German), but I already like it very much. She has a really bubbly writing and a beautiful personal style. A Blog and a girl as sweet as sugar!

Vor gar nicht allzulanger Zeit schrieb mir ein Maedchen eine E-mail und ich schaute mir ihren Blog  "meine herzallerliebsten... "an. Sie hat ihn gerade erst zu schreiben begonnen, aber ich mag ihn schon sehr. Sie hat einen quirligen Schreib- und einen schoenen Kleidungsstil. Ein Blog und ein Maedchen so suess wie Zucker, eben herzallerliebst!

The Streetswalker

After I arrived in Israel I was curious about Israeli fashionblog. Here in Beer Sheva people most of the people doesn't have the greatest style. You can see girls (mostly big girls) in shirts, leggings and a kind of plateau-sandal-shoe-thing. Of course once in a while there are well dressed people, but this is the main picture you get. That's why I was glad to find the streetstyleblog TheStreetswalker. Yael Sloma is showing you really stylish and unique people, who are reflecting the well dressed site of Israel. I totally love this blog!

Nachdem ich in Israel angekommen war, wurde ich neugierig, ob ich auch gute israelische Blogs finden würde. In Beer Sheva haben die meisten Leute nich den besten Stil. Sehr viele Mädchen (vorrangig etwas dickere) laufen in T-shirts, Leggins und eine Art von Plateau-Sandalen-Birkenstock-Ding durch die Gegend. Natürlich trifft man auch manchmal gut angezogene Menschen, aber das ist das vorrangige Bild, das ich von Israels Mode bekam. Deshalb war ich froh den Streetstyleblog TheStreetswalker zu finden. Auf diesem werden von Yael Sloma gut angezogene und einzigartige Menschen gezeigt. Ich liebe ihren Blog dafür!
