That Rose Pattern

 You may not see it at first glance, but in the last time it feels like my life is just based on chance. I went home (to Berlin) over the weekend and it was pur coincidence that I saw my hair straigthener and thought something like: "Oh, I may try it again." I didn't straighten my hair but curled it around the hair-ends and it turned out pretty nice.

It was pure chance, that there was enough fabric left over from my curtains so that I could make a skirt out of it.

Honestly, I think life is just a chain of sequenced coincidences, but I can live along with this thought, if the outcoming is a contenting one. ;)

 It was good and weird to come back to Berlin. My room is quite empty now and my parents changed some things in the bathroom, which feels strange to me. But I forgot how nicely quiet my room is in comparison to the room here. 

 The first time I tried to make the skirt, I ended up sewing a pencil skirt, which I am going to finish in December, when I figured out how.

What I did to sew this full skirt was just whipping the hem, sewing it together to a tube and then adding an elastic band. Unfortunately, it is a little bit too loose, but I could wear it on my hips, too. So it didn't come out too bad.

 What I love the most about it, is the pattern. It's quite funny to wear a skirt, which matches your curtains. 

The first time I wore it outside was, while attending the fluxfm (former motorfm) work party with my sister, which was a blast!

Zwei Wochen lang habe ich meine Kusine gesehen und viel Spaß mit ihr gehabt. Wir haben ein paar Dinge unternommen und daraus ist unter anderem dieses Video entstanden. Es ist auf Deutsch, aber ich denke, ich werde noch eine Anleitung nur mit Bildern auf Englisch veröffentlichen.

Sweater Weather

As I first thought about this headline the weather in Israel was hot and I didn't thought about wearing a sweater. But in the last few days the weather changed suddenly and I freeze a bit and stay inside as most as I can. So DIY-ideas could\should be conducted.
I already found some and here is one of them:

Just take a simple striped shirt (mine got lost in the laundry), sew a uni coloured pocket on it and draw some symbol on it like a heart. I love it!

DIY: Modified "I Love NY" T-Shirt

Today I modified my "I love NY"-tee like that: I cutted the sleeves and the neckline to transform it into a tanktop, which is plunging under the arms.
I was inspired by Hanneli Mustaparta from www.hanneli.lola.no, who wore it like that on mtv:


My tee, purchased on a jumblesale for about 1 or 2 €, was too wide and too short, so I wanted to change it anyway. As I found the picture, I thought it is a great reinterpretation of the very often seen "I love NY"-tee and tried it.

Outfit Of The Day

As I was really lazy today, I decided to wear something very comfy. There is a new piece in my wardrobe namly the white skirt. I found it while browsing through our old costumes' box in the attic and fell in love with it. My new favourite colour of the moment defenitly is white! The only disadvantage of the skirt is its filthiness. I washed it twice, but the stains are really stubborn. I thought about dying it red, but I think the stains won't take in the colour, so I wear it nevertheless.
The picture has been taken by my brother in a "Spielemax"-Store, where we wanted to buy the most epic game ever: "Halli Galli". Unfortunately it wasn't available. =(
After that we went to the "Perlerei" to make my mother a bracelet as a birthdaypresent.



By the way I have made the polkadot bag by sewing a vintage tanktop at the hem together and adding some buttons.

DIY: Tee For Boyfriend

The other day it was my boyfriends birthday. I wanted to buy him a tee from "The Mighty Boosh", his favourite comedy serie from England. I found out, that it would be very expensive, take ages to arrive and not the one, that he wanted. So I tried my luck and made one. I bought an organic cotton tee at american apparel and painted my own created motif on it. The motif is a combination between these two already existing shirts:


He was delighted and so was I.

One swallow does not make a summer.

This is the chain I made at a "Perlerei", which I mentioned recently. I decided to keep it for myself and since then I wore it twice. Just forgot to take pictures, I apologize for that!
